On Valentine’s Day we crowned Ole Olson as King and Ann Collins as Queen at our party. The court included Ron Knutson, Bernard Reicks, Dennis Carter, Gary Lee, Dorothy Marhoul, Linda Lambert, Sara Maeck and Gloria Whitney.
On President’s day we enjoyed a Quilt of Valor program with a resident from the nursing facility, Bernard Reicks receiving a quilt along with six other veterans from the community. Thank you to the Decorah Quilts of Valor group for making this happen. This is an awesome project and thank you for all that you do.
On March 8 from 1:30-3:30 the Decorah High School art students will be displaying their art in the activity room. This event is open to the public and we encourage you to come and see their amazing talent!!
We will have moonlight bingo March 28 at 6:30 followed by root beer floats. Feel free to come and join the fun!
Looking ahead we will have our volunteer appreciation program April 10 at 2:30 with music and treats. Speaking of volunteers….. we are looking for a few volunteers to visit or play games with some of our residents. If this is something that may be of interest to you please contact Lynn at 382-9691. As one of our younger volunteers’ states, “I come for the smiles.” I guarantee your volunteering will put a smile on a lot of residents faces. We would love to have you join our group of amazing volunteers.
