Iowa’s New Medicare cards are mailed

New Medicare cards are starting to be mailed to people in Iowa. The new cards have a new Medicare Number that’s unique to the card holder, instead of the individual’s Social Security Number. The change is intended to prevent fraud and identity theft.

As soon as you receive your new card, please bring a copy to the business office. If you do not get a card within the next month, call 1-800-Medicare)1-800-633-4227). There might be something that needs to be corrected, such as updating the mailing address. Thank you!
