Merry Christmas,

Even though it is the middle of November as I write this it feels like Christmas! We are excited to have a concert with Northern Lights to start off December. Our family and resident Christmas party will be December 8th from 2:00- 4:00. We are trying something different this year with both the Assisted Living and the Nursing Home having their party the same time. The Assisted Living will be having their party in their dining area and the Nursing Facility will be having theirs in the activity room. Please mark it on your calendar and come for music, food, fellowship and if everyone is really good, maybe Santa will even stop! Our bell choir concert and live nativity scene will be December 19 at 3:00. The ding- a- lings have been hard at work practicing and you will not want to miss their concert. We have a lot of Christmas fun planned for the entire month.

We have two new volunteers and activities in the last month. Yoga with Odette is on most Thursdays at 2:30. Feel free to join your loved one if you happen to be visiting while yoga is in session. Men’s Devotions with Roland is once a month in the chapel on Wednesday afternoons. Last week the men enjoyed fresh pumpkin bread along with their devotions. Thank you, Roland and Odette, for sharing your time and talent with us. We appreciate your support.

On January 17 we will be having an Art show showcasing the talent of Decorah High School Art students. Watch Facebook for more details. We will be celebrating winter by having a Wacky Winter Wednesday Wardrobe Day, a winter time sensory game, hot chocolate and stories, balloon volley ball game, a marathon bingo and learning about Australia all in January along with our usual activities.

Have a Blessed and Merry Christmas!
