Happy Retirement Sue!

Sue Dansdill, our Environmental Supervisor has decided to retire after 33 1/2 years with us! Sue started working at Wellington Place in June of 1987 as a Housekeeper. At that time, the facility was called Winneshiek County Care Facility. Marlys Cook was the Administrator and she and her husband, Cecil lived in a house on the grounds. In 1996, Sue became the Environmental Service Supervisor. Sue stated there has been a lot of changes throughout the years including several renovations to the facility and new federal guidelines to provide the best care for dependent adults. Sue states she has worked with a multitude of staff and residents, all interesting and unique in their own way. Sue retired in December and stated she is proud to have been part of providing care for the residents and can only hope that she has made a difference in their lives. “This has become my own book of history that I shall always cherish!” Sue said. Enjoy your well-deserved retirement Sue and know that you have made a difference!  Thank you for all that you have done.
