During the first full week in June we enjoyed having the Decorah Lutheran Bible school kids here. They participated in a lot of activities with the residents and bought a lot of energy to our programs. They donated two beautiful dwarf lilac trees that everyone will enjoy for years to come. We hope the Bible school class comes back again next year!

On June 14 we enjoyed a fishing trip to Lake Meyer. After fishing we enjoyed a picnic and reminiscing about fishing as a child. There were a lot of “fishy” stories being told and a great time was had by all! A big thank you to Larry Reis for his help and for providing the poles and bait.

We had a bowling tournament June 13 and there was so much laughing and cheering going on we has a lot of staff coming down to see what all of the noise was about!

The Winneshiek county dairy royalty visited and provided root beer floats for an activity room full of residents on June 11. They love root beer floats here!

In July we are having a program from Julie at Camp Courageous and Boyde Watson presenting a program on Collectibles and old tools. We will be celebrating Nordic Fest with the Jr. Nordic Dancers visiting and watching past Nordic fest parades. Be sure and wave at us in the Nordic Fest parade!!!

We will be enjoying music from Cathy Hoffert, Casey and the Good time Band, Kent Larson and Wires and Wood during July. You are welcome to join us for any activity if you are visiting your loved one. We would love to see you.
