Here we are at the end of May. Unbelievable!

We had a wonderful month of May. We honored National Police week with a visit from Steve Nesvik and his K9 dog Mc Coy and also had Deputy Byron Hook talk to us about all the different scams that could affect our older folks. We enjoyed Curt and Linda play music on our back patio and enjoyed cheese/meat and crackers along with some delicious lemonade. What a glorious day! We thank the Nursing Home for letting our folks enjoy a very tasty picnic lunch in honor of National Nursing Home week. Our Video Release party was a huge success. We will be doing more videography’s soon and have another video release party in the future if your loved hasn’t had the chance to do theirs yet. We visited Colorado, The Lost 50’s Documentary and visited Arlington Cemetery in honor of Memorial Day.

June highlights include a very informative talk and discussion with Mary Hart about the decisions and choices we want at the end of our lives.  This is what Mary wrote for me to explain what she/we will be talking about.

Death is inevitable, but we aren't always guaranteed a "good death".   In general, we are death illiterate, death phobic and unprepared for death.

Kelly and I would like to invite Wellington Assisted Living Tenants (and family members) to enjoy coffee and dessert, in a "Death Cafe" conversation---Wed. June 5th at 2:00 pm.  Our goal is to increase the awareness of death with a view to helping make the most of our finite lives. This will be a time to share thoughts, ask questions and discuss issues about end of life decisions.

                  Please come join us!

I think this is very important for us all, young or old. We just never know what life has in store for us.

I know it seems uncomfortable to talk about but it will be very useful. This informal talk will give you some comfort in knowing your loved ones wishes can be talked about and discussed before anything does happen.

Our next monthly breakfast is May 31st, June 28th and July 26th from 8:00 to 10:00. Just to let you know the guest meals are now $8.00 and $10.00 for holidays. The monthly breakfast will also be $8.00 for guests.
