Activities- In April we recognized our volunteers with a volunteer appreciation program and refreshments. We are very thankful for the volunteers we have. If you would like to make a difference in the lives of our residents and have some time we would love to have you join us as a volunteer. It could be once a week, once a month or several times a year we would love to have you join us!

We ended April with the men having a baseball coffee and the women enjoyed a red hat’s program on dancing.

On May 1 we will be making May baskets and on May 2 we will be celebrating National Grump Out day by reading Alexander and the horrible, terrible no good day and watching Grumpy old men. We will have a Cinco de Mayo party May 5 at 2:30.

Everyone is invited to join their mother for a Mother’s Day concert and refreshments on Sunday May 6 at 1:00. National Skilled Nursing Home week is May 13-19 and we have special events planned all week. On Thursday May 17 we will have a resident talent show from 2:30-4:00. If your loved one at Wellington Place had a talent for quilting, cross stitch, wood working, crocheting, painting or any other talent please talk to Christine or Lynn in the activity department. We would like to display the residents’ talent for everyone to see. We ask that you bring in the items for the talent show marked and the week before the event. I know we have a lot of talent in our facility so let’s show it off!!! If you have any questions feel free to call Lynn at 382-9691.

Hopefully the weather will warm up soon so we can have activities outside. I think everyone is looking forward to warmer weather!

Until next month,

Lynn, Recreation Program Director
